On the latest episode of “Love & Marriage: Huntsville,” Nell brings Destiny around her family to address questions about Twan and Kayla. Meanwhile, Martell backs Chris as conversations shift to his role in his marriage.

Here’s the recap for “Sip Happens.”

Chris explains why he pushed back on Marsau.

Chris tells Martell that Marsau asked him to come by and questioned why he didn’t share updates about his license sooner. He makes it clear he didn’t owe Marsau that conversation and says, “Why? Exactly, why?” Furthermore, Chris reminds Martell they weren’t actively doing business and adds, “We were doing business together… nothing.” He also flips the situation and asks whether Marsau shared details about his own legal issues.

Martell reacts strongly, saying Chris should have been more aggressive from the start. He tells Chris, “You’ve got to tear that a** up from the beginning,” while criticizing Marsau for getting into his business. Meanwhile, Chris keeps the focus on the double standard and questions Marsau’s track record. He asks what projects he has actually completed that matter.

Chris then brings up the Jordan Lane property and says he recently passed by and saw work picking back up. He notes that construction appears minimal so far, with just the outside frame started. Martell says he’s glad Chris stood up for himself and praises him for not backing down.

As the discussion shifts, Chris shares that he’s helping his wife move forward with her boutique idea. He explains she’s been working toward it for years and says, “She’s been on me about finding her brick and mortar.” In addition, Chris adds that she has already been selling items informally and now wants to take the next step with a physical location.

Destiny details her fallout with LaTisha.

Destiny tells Martell that things escalated between her and LaTisha, and Nell confirms they “both showed their ass” during the confrontation. Nell recalls LaTisha coming toward Destiny aggressively, while Destiny makes it clear she didn’t back down. She says, “I’m still Detroit Destiny. Don’t get it twisted,” as she stands firm on how she handled the moment.

During the conversation, Destiny shifts focus to LaTisha’s complaints about not being defended. She pushes back and says, “The only person I see not defending you is your husband,” questioning why that responsibility falls on her. Meanwhile, Destiny also calls out the criticism she’s received and says LaTisha has been “discrediting me” and trying to label her for dating.

Martell tries to jump in, but Destiny shuts him down and accuses him of contributing to the situation. She tells him he didn’t warn her about what would be said during a previous group conversation and rejects the idea of blindly choosing sides. Destiny explains she won’t show “blind allegiance and stupid loyalty” when everyone involved is her friend.

Nell offers her perspective and says she plans to stay neutral, calling the situation “a hot ass mess.” She adds that the dynamic between Destiny and LaTisha looks toxic. Therefore, she suggests they should move on without forcing a friendship.

In the end, Destiny makes her stance clear. She says, unless there is “an apology and acknowledgment of all the things that she’s done,” she’s done with the situation. Destiny also confirms she has already apologized multiple times and refuses to apologize again.

Chris and Nell question Destiny about Twan and Kayla.

Chris tells Destiny he’s still confused about the rumors involving her and Twan and wants clarity before addressing it further. He asks directly if they were dating and explains he doesn’t want any “overlapping,” given the family dynamics. Nell echoes the concern and says she’s asking “as a mother,” making it clear her focus is on Kayla.

Destiny pushes back on the questioning and asks why it even matters. She explains they had a recent lunch to “close out some stuff” and confirms they did go on a date but handled it like adults. She says they “had to sit there and… deal with that little situation and kind of nip the bud,” emphasizing it wasn’t anything ongoing.

As the conversation continues, Nell suggests bringing everyone together to clear the air. She proposes inviting them all to dinner to see what’s really happening and address any tension directly. Chris agrees and says he wants transparency so nothing gets misunderstood.

Destiny makes her stance clear, saying Twan is “a grown man” and not her partner. She adds, “That man is a free man,” and insists whatever happens between him and Kayla is their business, not hers. In addition, she recalls Kayla confronting her about a bump and suggests that tension already existed.

Chris confronts Twan while Kayla questions Destiny.

Chris pulls Twan aside and says he felt blindsided by rumors that he was dating Kayla. He tells Twan, “That’s my daughter… somewhere along the way, it’s like, talk to me,” making it clear he expected a direct conversation. Twan admits he didn’t know how to approach it and says they’ve just been “chilling” without making anything official.

Twan explains they “vibe pretty good” but emphasizes that both he and Kayla are still single and not exclusive. He adds that he doesn’t “want to hurt nobody,” trying to show he’s being mindful. Chris acknowledges that point but says the response feels “off track,” stressing he doesn’t want his daughter hurt.

At the same time, Kayla approaches Destiny to address the earlier bump. Kayla asks why it happened, while Destiny downplays it and says, “If I did, it was like a ‘hey’ bump.” Kayla recalls them already speaking before it happened, suggesting it felt intentional.

Destiny shuts down any suggestion of a problem and responds firmly, saying, “Don’t you ever, ever, ever think it’s a problem with me.” She insists she has no issue with Kayla and questions why she would start one. As tension builds, Destiny removes herself from the moment and says she’s leaving because she has a date.

After Destiny exits, Nell reflects on what she previously heard about Destiny and Twan. She recalls Destiny saying they had strong chemistry and even compared it to a past relationship. Nell admits she wanted clarity on the timeline but says Destiny avoided going into detail.

Destiny tells Nell the dinner felt like an interrogation.

Destiny meets with Nell afterward and says she’s been focused on work and her day-to-day responsibilities since the gathering. When Nell brings up dinner, Destiny immediately pushes back, saying it “felt more like an interrogation.” She explains the environment didn’t feel welcoming and admits she wasn’t herself that night.

She says multiple people questioned her at once, pointing out that Chris had “21 questions,” Nell asked things, and Kayla confronted her as well. Destiny expresses confusion about how things shifted. She says the energy went from supportive to confrontational in front of the entire family.

Destiny also believes the Twan and Kayla situation was revealed in a way to get a reaction out of her. She says it felt like a “situationship revealed,” but she insists she had no reaction because it didn’t concern her. She makes it clear that Twan dating Kayla “ain’t got nothing to do with me,” while adding she felt outnumbered.

Nell denies setting her up and says that’s “not who I am.” She insists she didn’t invite Destiny for that reason and pushes back on the accusation. Destiny stands firm, calls the situation “inconsiderate,” and Nell maintains that Destiny could have left if she felt uncomfortable.

What are your thoughts about the episode?
