Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to a contract for the 2025 season, according to reports. Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time, but his play has fallen off hard in recent years. The 41-year-old QB tore his Achilles on the first drive of the 2023 season, and returned last season to throw for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns to 11 interceptions. The Jets finished 5-12 and released Rodgers earlier this offseason.
Rodgers takes over for Justin Fields and Russell Wilson as Steelers starting QB. Pittsburgh swung a big trade for receiver DK Metcalf earlier this offseason, but also unloaded WR George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys. The Steelers are coming off back-to-back 10-7 seasons but haven’t won a playoff game under Mike Tomlin since 2016.
