The commission will serve as an advisory and honorary body responsible for monitoring the physical and financial execution of programs financed by the trust, ensuring resources are used in accordance with the country’s solid waste management law, and issuing periodic and annual public oversight reports.

Coordinated by Alliet Ortega, the commission also includes Manuel García Arévalo, Giselle Pérez Reyes, Roberto Despradel Catrain, and Ruth de los Santos, who were selected based on their independence, integrity, and lack of conflicts of interest.

Members must also sign an ethical commitment declaring their independence, confidentiality, and absence of conflicts of interest before assuming their roles.
