Voices, Votes & Vision: The Latest in Politics & Public Policy

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WSAV) – South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson recently posted an endorsement from 22 Republican sheriffs on his Facebook for his gubernatorial campaign.

Included in the post is a quote from Beaufort County Sheriff P.J. Tanner:

“There’s no one who has fought harder to advance President Trump’s law and order agenda and protect South Carolina families than Alan Wilson. He’s worked tirelessly to fight illegal immigration, the fentanyl crisis, and human trafficking. President Trump is Making America Safe Again, and he has no stronger partner in South Carolina than Alan Wilson,” said Sheriff Tanner.

WSAV also received a statement from Jasper County Sheriff Chris Malphrus on Wilson running for Governor :

“I’m proud to endorse Alan Wilson for Governor of South Carolina. Alan is a veteran, a strong supporter of law enforcement, and a proven leader who understands the challenges we face in public safety. As Attorney General, his office has been an essential partner to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, especially in our work with Internet Crimes Against Children cases. I believe Alan Wilson is the candidate who can move South Carolina forward with integrity, strength, and a deep respect for the people who serve and protect our communities.”
