Tomorrow’s Tech, Today: Innovation That Moves Us Forward

Jax Taylor, a key figure from The Valley, has become one of 2025’s most talked-about reality TV stars. As fan backlash intensified, Alex Baskin, the producer of the show, came out and directly addressed it as one of the strongest reactions received by any star. Alex stated that the response could help Taylor take the necessary steps to move forward.

Alex’s comments came as Taylor confirmed his exit from on 3 of The Valley. His exit followed a lot of negativity, allegations, abuse, and intense social media backlash calling for his firing from the show. So what led to this dramatic exit? And what happens next for The Valley? Keep reading to find out.

    Jax And Brittany

Jax Taylor faced intense backlash in Season 2 of The Valley. His estranged wife, Brittany, accused him of violent and abusive behavior. One incident she mentioned was Jax allegedly throwing her into rose bushes. Many of the cast members supported her allegations and criticized him for his aggressive behavior. Hence, fans and cast members were furious with Jax’s visibility on the show.

This controversy escalated among fans, who demanded that he be removed from the show. They created hashtags like #FireJaxTaylor to ensure the network heard their plea and took immediate action against Jax Taylor. “This isn’t entertainment anymore—it’s disturbing,” one fan wrote on X. Another added, “Bravo finally needs to hold him accountable.”

The Valley: Alex Baskin Calls Jax Taylor Backlash A “Positive Step” For The Star

Alex Baskin, the producer of the series The Valley, recently acknowledged the backlash that has followed Jax Taylor in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away from the next season of The Valley,” Jax said. Moreover, his decision to exit the show might have been influenced by the heavy wave of negative criticism that fans have poured on him. Alex mentioned, “The audience was very clear about how they felt.”

    Jax Taylor

Near the end of Season 2, Taylor shocked fans with his actions. Later, he released a statement confirming his departure from Season 3. He explained that his primary focus is on “sobriety, mental health, and co-parenting” with his son, Cruz. Later, Alex said this reaction from fans might be “a kind of good thing,” adding, “It forces someone to assess where they are and what they might need to do.”

Baskin mentioned that Taylor’s exit is in his best interest. He added that there are no immediate plans to bring him back. “We’re focused on making the show and letting him take care of himself,” he said, noting that Season 3 will move forward with the rest of the cast.

With Taylor out, The Valley will undergo a significant shift. Moreover, Alex hopes to continue building the series with the remaining cast and their evolving dynamics as the focus of the show. Many fans have called this the reset that The Valley needed heading into Season 3.
