Stay Informed: Latest News from Across Georgia

Brenda Salvador Huie, born on January 1, 1945, in the Philippines, gracefully departed this world on September 9, 2025, in Tyrone, Georgia, at the age of 80. Her life was a tapestry of dedication, love, and service that leaves an indelible mark on all who knew her.

From an early age, Brenda demonstrated a profound commitment to caring for others, which she translated into a fulfilling career as a registered nurse with South Fulton Medical Center. Her gentle touch and compassionate nature provided solace and healing to countless patients and colleagues over the years.

Brenda’s interests were vast and filled with life. She was an ardent gardener, cultivating vibrant roses, hydrangeas, and a cherished fig tree alongside a flourishing vegetable garden and exquisite orchids. Her love of gardening mirrored her love for nurturing beauty and growth in every aspect of her life. A talented cook, Brenda, shared her love through delicious meals that brought family and friends together around her table.

Her devotion extended beyond her professional and personal passions as she actively volunteered with Clothes Less Traveled, embodying generosity and kindness in every endeavor. As a proud member of the Peachtree City Walking Club, she relished the joys of community and the simple pleasure of a morning walk.

Those who knew Brenda witnessed her unwavering dedication to her family as a happy wife, loving mother, devoted grandmother, and remarkable friend. She found immense joy and fulfillment in her roles as a wife to Bill Huie, a mother to Patrick (Lindsay) Huie and Jennifer Powell, and as “Grandma” to her beloved grandchildren, Deva, James Jr., and Karynmarie. Her sisters, Asela Salvador and Charito Dalton, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, will carry forward her legacy of love and connection.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Liberato and Cesaria Salvador, whose spirits surely welcomed her with open arms. Her enduring spirit lives on in those she leaves behind, radiating warmth, wisdom, and an abundance of love.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the funeral home. There will be no service following the visitation.

As we gather to honor her memory, let us remember Brenda Salvador Huie as an inspiration and a woman whose kindness and grace enriched the lives of everyone she touched.

We welcome you to provide your condolences, thoughts, and memories on our Tribute Wall.
