SAVANNAH – The City of Savannah’s Planning and Urban Design Department has launched a public survey on local zoning regulations for homeowners, renters, and business owners in the Hudson Hill-Bayview neighborhood.
The survey can be found at savannahga.gov/zoningsurvey and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Input will be received through Monday, Sept. 22 at 5 p.m. Printed copies of the survey are available through the Hudson Hill-Bayview Neighborhood Association President. Completed copies can be dropped off at the Hudson Hill Community Center.
The survey will help the City gather public input on how to manage specific elements of local zoning rules, such as minimum lot sizes, types of allowable housing (single family, duplexes, multi-family), accessory dwelling units, and businesses in the area.
Staff with the City as well as the Metropolitan Planning Commission (MPC) held community meetings in May and August of this year to discuss residential zoning needs and desires. Input from the public survey will be coupled with feedback from the community meetings to help shape future zoning changes to the neighborhood.
