Thomasville Firearms: Firearms designer and manufacturer Rideout Arsenal is moving from Virginia to Georgia. It’s opening a $22 million manufacturing facility in Thomas County, creating 120 jobs.
Atlanta HQ: Following its $8.6 billion merger with Synovus in January, Pinnacle Financial Partners is establishing its corporate headquarters in Midtown Atlanta. The 165,000-square-foot space will house some 400 employees when it officially opens next year.
Healthcare Expansions: St. Mary’s Health Care System is expanding both its Athens and Greensboro locations. The $35 million Center for Heart, Vascular and Neurosciences in Athens will feature the region’s first 4D CT scanner, while the St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro is seeing a $45.6 million expansion that will include a 42,000-square-foot space for additional advanced specialty and outpatient services. Both are slated to open in the fall of 2027.
Timber Relocation: Rayonier is moving its headquarters from Florida to Atlanta, with an anticipated move-in date in 2027. The timberlands company has more than 4 million acres in the U.S., making it the second-largest institutional landowner in the country.
Diabetic Support: Health tech company Glytec is relocating its headquarters from Boston to Cobb County and adding 500 new jobs over the next several years. The company, which develops software and an AI-driven technology platform to manage insulin levels for diabetes patients in hospitals, was founded in Georgia.
Pendergrass Batteries: California-based NeoVolta is opening a facility this summer in Jackson County to make battery energy storage systems, creating an initial 89 jobs. The company is partnering with Canadian-based PotisEdge, a subsidiary of Chinese solar panel manufacturer Longi Green Energy Technology Co. Ltd.
