Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

On the afternoon of Friday, November 21st, I was quietly working on my blog when the soft, nostalgic melody of “Happily Ever After” by Case began drifting through the room. I looked up to see my boyfriend walk in, smiling and looking playfully, and I couldn’t help but smile back. He sat beside me with a bag in his hand, but I was still half-focused on my work until he gently asked for my full attention.

When I turned to him, his entire demeanor had shifted warm, serious, full of emotion. I asked if everything was okay… and that’s when he slowly got down on one knee and began saying my name, reminding me how long we had loved each other. Realizing what was happening, I instantly burst into tears and ran into my bedroom closet to hide classic me! He followed me in, laughing softly, and said, “Can I finish now?” Through my tears I nodded, and in that quiet, magical little moment, he asked me to be his wife.

You guys… I love this man beyond words. Kelvin is romantic, thoughtful, consistent, and has been my rock since the day we met. We crossed paths in April 2024 at pickleball, he dropped his phone, I picked it up, he smiled… and we never stopped talking from that moment on. Just a month later, when my mom suddenly passed away in June, he left work to hold me through it all. He has shown up for me in every way since. No drama, no uncertainty just pure peace, safety, and happiness.

He’s never been married and has no children, while most of you know I’m divorced with two adult kids and two grandsons. My family adores him, and he’s fully part of us now. After spending over 20 years in Florida, he moved back to Georgia where he grew up. He attended The Citadel, became a Captain in the Air Force, and has built an incredible career in top-level security. Now he works in healthcare security steady, honorable, dependable.

And now… we’re planning a wedding for next year! I truly feel blessed beyond measure. I’ve never met anyone like him, and I’m so proud to become his wife.

As for the ring oh my goodness. He presented me with the most stunning Tiffany & Co. “Tiffany Novo” engagement ring… the very first ring I tried on last year. He remembered! Even crazier, I had stopped at Tiffany’s just a few days before to get my finger sized again and ended up with the same sales consultant unbeknownst to me, she had sold him the ring the day before. What are the odds? I had to return to have it resized and she just smiled knowingly. Pure magic.

My heart feels full. My fairytale has begun… ✨💍💕
