It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Domingo Hernandez Cavazos, age 50, of St. Helena Island, SC. passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025.
- Devout faith: Domingo's life was guided by strong faith, active church involvement, and spiritual devotion.
- Family-centered: Deep love for his wife, children, and grandchildren, who were his pride, joy, and daily motivation.
- Joyful spirit: Lived with purpose, laughter, and simple pleasures like good food and cheering for the Detroit Lions.
Domingo was a man who truly lived with purpose, love, and faith. At only 50 years old, he filled every day with joy, laughter, and devotion. He loved a good steak, a good game- especially when his beloved Detroit Lions were playing- and, above all, he loved his wife and kids. His Grandchildren were his pride and joy, the light of his life. But more than anything, Domingo loved God, his church, his community. His faith guided everything he did. Though his time with us was far too short, his impact will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral Mass will be held from 10:30am -11:30am Friday, October 24, 2025 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 70 Lady’s Island Dr., Beaufort, SC 29907. Funeral Service will be held from 11:30am to 1:00pm. (Per the family request Formal attire is preferred)
