On the afternoon of January 17, 2025, In God’s infinite wisdom he called his daughter Mother Earlene Simmons, 82 of Hilton Head Island SC from labor to reward.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Luke Simmons Sr, her daughter Janet Anderson, parents; Rufus Anderson and Mattie Anderson her siblings; Rufus Anderson Jr., Robert Anderson, John Henry Anderson, Albert Anderson, Herman Anderson, Leroy Anderson, Helen Glover, Susan Campbell, Lula Mae Blackwell, and Lucinda Anderson.
Mother Simmons leaves a lifetime of memories to her children; Ann Simmons-Bryan(George), Luke Simmons Jr. Lynette Simmons-Gause(Joseph), Charlesetta Simmons, Michael Simmons and Michelle Simmons. Her sister; Annie Mae Williams, Mother Mary Young, Cassie Mae Frazier and a host of other family and friends.
