    SAVANNAH, Ga.-This week marks Spring Break for us here at Savannah State. However, the action still continues for our spring semester sports. Softball finally returns home after a lengthy road trip, while baseball hits the road for another important SIAC series. We’ll cover everything in our latest edition of “This Week In Tiger Athletics”.

    Softball

    Head coach Amber Hallman and the Savannah State softball squad have been well acquainted with the road over the past few weeks, having been in the midst of a 14-game road trip. The Lady Tigers will wrap up the road trip on Wednesday, March 18th as they head just over the Savannah River to battle USC Beaufort in a doubleheader starting at 1:00pm & 3:00pm. Then, Savannah State will finally return to the friendly confines of Lady Tiger Softball Field, where they will welcome SIAC East Division rival Fort Valley State for a three-game set. The action will start with a single matchup on Friday, March 20th at 5:00pm, then will wrap up with a doubleheader on Saturday March 21st at 1:00pm & 3:00pm.

    The Tiger baseball squad hits the road for a three-game SIAC series this weekend in Mobile, Alabama against Spring Hill College. The series begins with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 21st at 1:00pm & 4:00pm, then conclude with a single game on Sunday, March 22nd at 1:00pm.
