    Zachary Hansen reports that electric vehicle maker Rivian announced Thursday it amended its multibillion-dollar federal construction loan, a deal that will reduce its borrowing by $2 billion. But the EV maker says the change will allow the company to expand the scope of its Georgia factory’s first phase.

    Evan Lasseter reports, two high-dollar warehouse sales hit Chatham County in this week’s property transfers, both purchased by the same New York City-based real estate investment firm. One 7-acre heavy industrial site at 202 Bourne Blvd. sold for $14 million, and another 8-acre heavy industrial property at 217 Bourne Avenue sold for $13 million, according to this week’s property transfers.

    Staff reports that a Hall County disc golf course has cracked the world’s top 100 rankings, and the destination behind it is marking the milestone with the launch of a new website. DiscLula, one of Georgia’s premier disc golf destinations, announced Tuesday that its flagship course, Lula O.G., has earned the No. 64 ranking among the top 100 disc golf courses in the world.

    Marisa Mecke reports, the Flint Riverkeeper, represented by the Southern Environmental Law Center, is suing the City of Griffin for discharging polluted wastewater and sewage into a tributary of the Flint River, which serves as a drinking water source for south metro Atlanta.  Flint Riverkeeper Gordon Rogers said that Griffin, like a lot of cities, has stormwater leaching in through cracks in its pipes and increasing use and burden on its sewage system.

    Sundi Rose reports, Georgia property tax collections rose 41% statewide from 2018 to 2022, with total assessed values climbing nearly 39%. Georgia lawmakers heard the complaints from homeowners and a fix was approved in November in 2024.

    Tia Mitchell reports, more than half of Republican primary voters in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s new poll still don’t know who they are voting for in the U.S. Senate primary to determine who will challenge Jon Ossoff in November. U.S. Rep. Mike Collins received the most support at 21.6% in the AJC poll, compared with 12.5% for U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter and 11% for former football coach Derek Dooley.
