MUMBAI: In perhaps the first instance of its kind, the Delhi Capitals are currently training during the season at the BCCI’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. This is the first time that an IPL team is training at the CoE, which was launched on Sept 29, 2024.
“Yes, the Delhi Capitals are holding a two-day camp, which started on Tuesday, at the CoE. Today, they trained under the lights from 6-9 pm. Tomorrow, they will train between 4 to 8pm,” a source tracking developments told TOI on Tuesday.
“DC’s next match is in Bengaluru against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 18. It seems that they requested the BCCI to grant them permission to train at CoE, and the BCCI agreed,” the source said.
Having won and lost two games each, the Axar Patel-captained Delhi Capitals, who have four points in their kitty after four matches, are placed on the fifth spot in the IPL-2026 table. They lost their last match to the Chennai Super Kings by 23 runs at Chennai.
