Megan Thee Stallion seems to be preparing for a “Hot Girl Summer” after announcing she’s single again.

Apparently, Megan Thee Stallion and Dallas Mavericks guard Klay Thompson’s once beautiful relationship has come to an explosive end.

Taking to her Instagram story on Saturday, Megan wrote that she is done with her former lover. They also unfollowed each other on social media, a signal that the breakup is official.

“Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house… got ‘cold feet.’”

She continued, “Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season, now you don’t know if you can be ‘monogamous’????” The star continued, “I need a REAL break after this one .. bye yall.”

Following her IG post, Megan shared an exclusive statement to USA TODAY confirming that she and five-time NBA All-Star are no longer an item.

“I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay,” she wrote in a statement. “Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward. I’m taking this time to prioritize myself and move ahead with peace and clarity.”

After appearing in each other’s posts and playing coy about their budding relationship, Megan and Thompson made their high-profile red carpet debut on July 16, 2025, at the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City.

The couple made their high-profile red carpet debut on July 16, 2025, at the inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City. During the event, Megan described their first encounter as a “meet-cute” that felt like a “f***ing movie,” praising Thompson as the “nicest person” she had ever met.

Shortly thereafter, Megan and Thompson posted a video of themselves working out and then being hugged up in a gym on social media.

“We had to do these goddamn russian twists, throwing the ball thingamajigs, and I don’t really like how he was throwing the ball to me, because I feel like he was plotting on my downfall, wanting me to miss,” Megan said in the video.

Thompson adds, “She was better than me,” as they both laughed.

The short-lived romance between the “H-Town Hottie” and the NBA sharpshooter proved that even superstar couples aren’t immune to the complexities of relationships.

In the end, the relationship fell victim to the very digital spotlight that fueled its rise, leaving Thompson on the sidelines while Megan reminds the world that she’s always better off …solo.
