Mrs. Latrelle A. Darien-Polite, 68 years old from Pineland, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, May 03, 2025, at Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, South Carolina.
Mrs. Polite was educated in the public schools of Jasper County and graduated in 1974. She also attended Columbia Commercial College in Columbia, South Carolina.
She was a member of Mount Mariah Baptist Church in Pineland, South Carolina, under the leadership of Reverend Matthew Stevenson. Mrs. Polite served the Youth Department for many years, she had always made sure the children and even the adults who wanted to participate were always welcome to do so, of course, along with herself.
She will be missed so much because she always made sure she involved herself with something or everything at her church, she is and always will be loved by her church family.
She leaves her precious memories to her loving family; a devoted and caring husband; Carl E. Polite, her daughter; Kecia P. (Jermaine) Robinson, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one sister; Katie Devers, three brothers; Edward (Ada) Darien, Jr., Alvin (Jerry) Darien and John (Mary) Darien, one brother in law; Samuel (Tondalia) Polite, Jr.,one aunt in law; Deloris Crawford. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, along with numerous friends.
Wake Service will be held on Friday, May 09, 2025, at Bostick Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland, South Carolina from 6-8 PM.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Pineland, South Carolina at 11:00 AM.
Burial will take place at Mount Mariah Baptist Church Cemetery in Pineland, South Carolina.
Always remember to wear a mask, to protect others as well as yourself, mask works best when everyone wears one. A mask is not a substitute for social distancing, masks should be worn in addition to staying 6 feet apart, especially when indoors around people who do not live in your household.
