Marcus Garvin (AKA “Mad Dog”) was born on September 23, 2004, to Lagail Francis and Marcus Garvin, Sr., in Beaufort, South Carolina. Marcus was educated in the public schools of Hampton County, South Carolina. He was known for his adventurous lifestyle. He was preceded in death by his son, Jah’mair Garvin; great-grandmother, Lucille Francis; first cousin, Tray Evans, Jr.; and brother, Omarion “Duke” Garvin. On Sunday, June 29, 2025, Marcus gave up his earthly life to be with the Lord. Marcus leaves to cherish fond memories: two children, Jazaiyah Betties and Ashton Omire Garvin; mother, Lagail Francis and father, Marcus Garvin, Sr; both of Estill, South Carolina; sisters, Nevaeh Garvin, Liberty Francis, and Empriss Garvin, all of Estill, South Carolina; brother, Juwann Eady; grandmothers, Gail Charlton and Rena Mae Garvin, both of Estill, SouthCarolina; grandfathers, Mark Jones, Frank Blake, Sr., and Jerome Smalls, all of Estill, South Carolina; great-grandmother, Evelyn Francis of Estill, South Carolina; aunts, Shagail Smith of Hampton, South Carolina, and Sheneka Bostick of Scotia, South Carolina, Ebony Castro of Estill, South Carolina and ShajuadaGoff of Homestead, South Carolina; uncles, Frank Blake, Jr, Frank Blake III,Benjamin Blake, Shimone Sanders, Shacoby Ling, JaQuan Williams, and Jacovah Ling Williams, all of Estill, South Carolina; Quan Halmon, of Georgia;godmother, Aminia Francis of Charlotte, North Carolina, Hope Brown of Furman, South Carolina; godfather, Christopher Lewis, of Furman, South Carolina; god-sister, Naima Gardner of Charlotte, North Carolina; significant other, Ashtyn Edwards of Allendale, South Carolina; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends
