    City of Pooler Area Update:

    Key takeaways
    • Mayor Karen Williams said the rollback provides financial relief while allowing the City of Pooler to meet operational and infrastructure goals.
    • Pooler's adopted millage remains below historic average, reflecting commitment to balance community growth with sound fiscal management.
    • City of Pooler will continue investing in essential infrastructure while minimizing reliance on debt funding.
    • City of Pooler's approach positions it for sustainable long-term success through prudent fiscal stewardship.

Demonstrating commitment to easing the monetary problem on locals while keeping crucial city services, the Pooler City Council has adopted the full rollback millage price for the 2026 tax obligation year. The approved millage price lowers the City’s rate from 4 197 mills to 4 096 mills, supplying meaningful real estate tax relief to house owners as residential or commercial property worths remain to rise. The rollback rate is designed to counter boosts in assessed building values and stop a property tax increase resulting solely from review growth. As called for by Georgia law, the rollback rate is meant to produce roughly the exact same upkeep and procedures profits from existing residential or commercial properties as was collected from existing residential properties throughout the previous year.

The City of Pooler is proud to introduce that tonight council voted to embrace the complete rollback millage price of 4 096, decreased from 4 197 ,” stated Mayor Karen Williams.” This rollback will certainly offer monetary relief for our locals while still enabling the City to accomplish our functional requirements and facilities objectives.

The adopted 2026 millage price remains listed below Pooler’s 40 -year historic average and shows the City’s continuous commitment to stabilizing the needs of an expanding area with sound monetary administration. This financial security enables the City of Pooler to continue purchasing essential facilities, while minimizing dependence on debt funding and placement itself for sustainable lasting success.
