The role serves as a strategic bridge between the classroom and the marketplace. By bringing real-world expertise into the academic environment, the program ensures that SSU’s curriculum remains aligned with evolving workforce demands while providing students with direct access to executive-level mentorship. The program will enhance faculty engagement and external partnerships.

Mr. Hill will engage directly with students through guest lectures, mentorship, executive coaching, and participation in capstone projects. At the same time, he will provide practical insights on leadership, decision-making, innovation, and organizational strategy—helping to prepare students to become career-ready graduates equipped to lead in a competitive global economy. As a highly visible ambassador of the College, Mr. Hill will strengthen the institution’s brand, expand its professional network, and enhance its reputation as a hub for talent development and business innovation.

“We are very excited to launch this vital initiative,” said SSU President Dr. Jermaine Whirl. “Mr. Hill’s vast expertise and proven record of innovation will serve as a catalyst for our students, providing them with the high-level business insights necessary to lead and compete in today’s global economy.”

Hill’s distinguished career spans more than four decades, most recently as Managing Director at Miami-based private equity firm ICV Partners. He built his reputation as an operator through executive leadership roles at Coca-Cola Enterprises, once Coca-Cola’s largest bottling franchisee worldwide, before founding Catalytic Advisors, LLC, an independent management consulting firm serving multiple industries. In 2025, Hill became a founding partner of VOC Partners, LLC, a real estate investment firm. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.”

“Having our inaugural Executive-in-Residence is a transformative win for our students,” said Dr. Michael Fronmueller, Dean of the College of Business Administration. “Mr. Hill is a world-class business executive prepared to share the ‘real-world’ know-how that defines successful careers.”
