Minions mania is coming to a Wendy’s near you this summer.

To celebrate the upcoming release of “Minions & Monsters,” the latest addition to the “Despicable Me” franchise, Wendy’s is debuting a few limited-edition menu items.

Minions fans will have to wait until July 1 to see the new movie, but Wendy’s is kicking off the fun a bit early.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Minions-inspired additions to the Wendy’s menu and the TODAY anchors’ reactions to one of the new items.

The TODAY Anchors React to the New Banana Frosty Swirl

After exclusively announcing the new Banana Frosty Swirl on air on June 8, several members of the TODAY family put the new sweet treat to the test.

Jenna Bush Hager’s initial reaction was short and sweet as she said, “It’s not bad.”

“Not at all,” Craig Melvin agreed.

“The chocolate one’s pretty good,” Al Roker added.

Savannah Guthrie was hesitant at first and said, “I’m trying to avoid the banana part of it.”

She went on to explain that the bright-yellow hue “disturbed her.”

“Have you seen a Minion?” Al teased.

“Well, I know, but I don’t want to eat a Minion,” Savannah replied.

Jenna admitted she was a bit “nervous” at first to try the treat, but “didn’t need to be.”

In the end, Savannah acknowledged that the drink didn’t have an overwhelming banana taste.

“Actually, this tastes good. I like the chocolate one,” she said.
