Michelle Obama stepping out for a girls’ night out is only adding more fuel to the nonstop speculation surrounding her marriage to Barack Obama.

The outing comes just days after the former president admitted Donald Trump’s return to politics created problems at home.

After leaving the White House, Obama expected to slow down and focus more on family. But Trump’s presidency pushed him back into campaigning, speeches, and political appearances.

During a recent candid interview, Barack explained that Michelle had grown frustrated with how deeply he’s been pulled back into political life.

“She wants to see her husband easing up and spending more time with her, enjoying what remains of our lives,” said Obama told The New Yorker. “It does create a genuine tension in our household, and it frustrates her.”

Therefore, when Michelle appeared for a girls’ night with her daughter, Sasha, Malia, and a few friends, her appearance seemed shocking.

The ladies went to the Funke restaurant in Beverly Hills, where paparazzi flashed pics of the stunning group.

Sasha once again stole attention alongside mom, who wore a pale green top and paint-splattered distressed jeans for the family outing.

Her sister, Malia, who usually opts for a minimal style, sported a midi floral dress with thin straps and ankle boots. Sasha, on the other hand, stepped out in a monochromatic denim outfit.

She wore a long-sleeved denim jacket, which she paired with slightly loose jeans and navy blue flat shoes. As a small fashion touch, she left only the last button of her jacket unbuttoned to showcase her belly piercing.

It’s not a surprise that some people zeroed in on Sasha.

“Sasha is my kinda FIERCE,” said one person obsessing over her look on Backgrid said,

Complimenting all three ladies, one person equipped, “They are all still THOSE GIRLS.”

But some were more concerned about how “thin” Michelle looked, hinting at recent stress.

“Did she complain about paying again?” said one person, likely referring to Trump sharing a video of her sharing her experience in the White House.

“She’s looking good in my book sometimes stress from working here and there can slide in but it’s obviously she’s looking good,” said another.

Not everyone leaned into the rumors. One person sarcastically wrote, “A reminder that ‘looking thin’ is not a diagnosis, and relationship rumors built off sightings are almost always unreliable.”

“This isn’t going away,” read one comment attached to a fake report claiming Michelle and Obama were “reportedly getting a divorce.” As of this writing, there has been no evidence of the Obamas separating or filing for divorce.

In an interview with In Style last year, Michelle opened up about her eight years as first lady while her husband was president.

She spoke about battling rumors as the first Black family as well as how she transformed after she left the White House in 2017.

The White House is where Malia and Sasha would rummage through their mom’s closet, but not freely. Michelle told In Style her daughters noticed how her stylist was tapping into the “cool girl” archetype when putting together looks for her.

Rebutting the idea of her wanting to wear some of their items, she said, “I don’t want their janky little clothes. No, they steal from me.”

Michelle said her rule for them is, “Don’t go in my closet unless I know what you’re doing in there.”

As for former President Barack Obama, it’s not entirely clear why he didn’t join his wife and kids for dinner that night. It’s possible this was a belated Mother’s Day dinner or maybe they just wanted some girl time.

He was last spotted on Tuesday in Austin, Texas, at Taco Joint with state Rep. James Talarico in efforts to boost the Democrats’ chances at flipping a Republican seat in the U.S. Senate. He went around taking pictures with diners, introducing them to Talarico, and reminding diners to vote.
