The Economic Opportunity Authority (EOA) for Savannah-Chatham County is giving an additional chance for locals of Chatham Region to obtain energy assistance on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 9: 00 a.m. to 4: 00 p.m. at Pooler Municipal Government

This support is supplied through the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) , which is made to assist low-income houses with their energy prices. The program intends to make sure that eligible family members, consisting of elders, people with specials needs, and young kids, do not encounter financial hardship in home heating and cooling their homes. Please note: if you have actually currently obtained assistance in 2026, you do not qualify.

Visits will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To get aid, a household’s annual earnings have to satisfy the LIHEAP Eligibility Standards , which think about family size and revenue. To use, please bring the complying with papers to your consultation:

    • Present light & & gas costs, unless total electric (showing the amount owed)
    • Social Safety card for each member of the home
    • Image ID for the candidate
    • Evidence of revenue for the last 30 days for every adult in the home (can include, however is not restricted to, a 2026 Social Protection Honor Letter, a paycheck stub, a letter approving public assistance, or welfare for all suitable home members)

For a smooth and efficient application procedure, applicants are motivated to bring printed duplicates or xeroxes of their files, instead of photos displayed on a phone, to help expedite processing.

If you have any kind of concerns or require assistance with the application procedure, please get in touch with Art Best at 912 – 238 – 2960, expansion 132
