Glow & Grow: Black Beauty, Haircare, and Skincare Tips

    Key takeaways
    • A timeless, luxurious celebration at the New Orleans Board of Trade, blending classic elegance with the city's energy and a joyous second line.
    • An emotional, dreamlike ceremony surrounded by generations of family and friends, creating unforgettable moments the couple will cherish forever.
    • First dance to So Into You by Tamia captured their deep connection; they're excited to build family, traditions, travel, and shared adventures.

Kristi and Joshua’s love story began in the fall of 2024 with a blind date set up by mutual friends. They felt an instant connection, and only three weeks later, Joshua whisked Kristi away to Martha’s Vineyard for Labor Day. That trip changed everything, turning a new friendship into a deep relationship built on trust, faith, and plenty of laughter. Exactly one year later, they returned to Martha’s Vineyard, where Joshua proposed overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

    Wedding Date: March 20, 2026

Wedding Location: New Orleans Board of Trade | New Orleans, Louisiana

Wedding Theme/Motif/Inspiration: Classic New Orleans! Our wedding was inspired by timeless luxury, romance, and the vibrant culture of New Orleans. We wanted the celebration to feel elegant and sophisticated while remaining deeply personal and full of joy. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to create an unforgettable experience for our guests, from the grand design elements to the lively second line through the streets of New Orleans. Our vision was to blend classic wedding elegance with the energy, music, and spirit of the city we love.

Briefly tell us about your wedding experience and how the both of you felt on your big day.

Our wedding day was truly a dream come true. Although Josh and I had legally married a few months earlier, we always knew we wanted to celebrate our love surrounded by the people who had supported us throughout our journey. We couldn’t wait to begin our life together, but having this wedding celebration allowed us to honor our families, our friends, and the incredible community that has poured into us over the years. The day was everything we envisioned—elegant, joyful, and full of love. We wanted our wedding to feel timeless and luxurious while embracing the unique culture and spirit of New Orleans. From the emotional ceremony to dancing the night away and leading our guests through the streets during our second line, every moment felt magical.

It was one of those rare moments where you wish time could stand still. Looking around the room and seeing generations of family and friends celebrating with us was a feeling we will cherish forever.

Wedding song, and the significance of the song:

Our first dance was to “So Into You” by Tamia.

The song felt like the perfect reflection of our relationship. Its lyrics capture the excitement, admiration, and deep connection we share. Even after all of our time together, we still genuinely enjoy one another’s company and feel incredibly blessed to have found a partner who feels like both home and adventure at the same time. Dancing to that song as husband and wife was one of our favorite moments of the entire day.

What are you most looking forward to as a married couple?

We are most looking forward to continuing to build a beautiful life together. We are excited to grow our family, create new traditions, travel the world, and continue supporting one another’s dreams and ambitions. We have built successful careers and businesses individually, but marriage allows us to approach life as a true partnership. More than anything, we’re looking forward to experiencing all of life’s moments—big and small—side by side.

    Congratulations to the happy couple!
