The Rock the Bells Festival 2026 will bring a star-studded lineup of hip-hop and R&B veterans to Newark, N.J., this Thanksgiving weekend as headliners LL Cool J, SWV, Lil’ Kim and Method Man & Redman take the stage.
Taking place at the Prudential Center on Nov. 29, the “Home for the Holidays”-themed concert will double as a sendoff for Hip-Hop History Month and feature a set by DJ D-Nice featuring The LOX, LeToya Luckett and David Banner. Additional performers and surprise guests will be announced at a later date.
LL Cool J’s presence carries particular significance. The pioneering rap star and Rock the Bells expressed his excitement in preserving and celebrating hip-hop culture and bringing the annual festival back to New Jersey.
“Hip-hop has shaped the world for more than five decades, and Rock the Bells exists to honor the people who made that history and keep the culture moving upward,” the Queens native said in a statement announcing the show.

“There’s something special about seeing artists and fans from different generations come together under one roof. Bringing that energy back to Newark over Thanksgiving weekend feels right. We’re going to celebrate music, show love to the community and close out Hip-Hop History Month together.”
Shelby Joyner, President of Black Promoters Collective, which is producing the event in partnership with Rock the Bells, also spoke on the cultural celebration. “
The Black Promoters Collective was built to produce world-class live experiences that celebrate Black culture at the highest level. Rock the Bells embodies that mission. Together with LL Cool J, we’re producing an experience that honors hip-hop’s pioneers, celebrates its influence, and brings generations together through the music that continues to shape culture around the world.”
