Savannah Chatham County Public School System (SCCPS) Update:

    Key takeaways
    • Late November rollout of MaiaLearning for SCCPSS, starting with seniors and expanding to other grades.
    • MaiaLearning offers career exploration, college and academic planning, resume tools, and financial aid information to guide student decisions.
    • Enhances school counselors support with progress tracking and personalized guidance, gives families visibility, and helps students create clearer postsecondary plans.

The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System will soon introduce a new tool designed to help students plan for life after high school.

Beginning in late November, SCCPSS will begin rolling out MaiaLearning, a college and career readiness platform that will provide students with personalized resources for exploring career interests, researching colleges and universities, setting goals, and preparing for future success. The initial rollout will focus on seniors, with additional grade levels gaining access throughout the following weeks.

The platform is part of the district’s ongoing commitment to ensuring every student graduates with a clear plan for the future, whether that path includes college, technical training, military service, or immediate entry into the workforce.

District leaders are excited to provide a resource that helps students connect their goals with meaningful next steps. MaiaLearning will give SCCPSS students a powerful set of tools to explore opportunities, discover their interests, and make informed decisions about their future.

Through this platform, students will be able to explore careers that align with their interests and strengths while learning about the education, skills, and experiences needed to pursue those careers. They will also have access to college planning resources, academic planning tools, resume-building support, and information related to financial aid and post-secondary opportunities.

For seniors, the platform will arrive at an especially important time as they prepare applications, make enrollment decisions, and finalize plans after graduation. As access expands to younger students, the platform will help them begin exploring possibilities earlier and develop a stronger understanding of how their academic choices connect to future opportunities.

School counselors will also have enhanced tools to help support students throughout the planning process. The platform allows counselors to track student progress, provide personalized guidance, and connect students with opportunities that align with their goals. In addition, students will have access to virtual engagement opportunities with colleges and universities, helping them learn more about postsecondary options and admissions pathways.

The new platform is intended to help students take a more active role in planning for their future while providing families with greater visibility into that process.

As implementation begins this fall, families can look forward to a tool that brings career exploration, college planning, goal setting, and future readiness together in one place. By helping students identify their interests, explore opportunities, and create a plan for success, MaiaLearning will support SCCPSS students as they prepare for the next chapter of their educational journey full of Unlimited Possibilities.
