Empowering Black Entrepreneurship: Stories of Success, Strategy & Growth

Deloitte promotes Trevear Thomas to Global Chief Growth Officer and the Global Executive Committee.

In this new role, Trevear will collaborate across Deloitte’s global businesses to deliver innovative, cross-functional solutions—empowering clients to thrive in a rapidly changing world and addressing the issues that matter most at the heart of their businesses.

For more than 25 years, Trevear Thomas has been an executive advisor to senior client leadership teams and boards for some of Deloitte’s largest accounts, bringing invaluable insights around emerging governance issues and trends impacting M&A, financial performance, disrupting business models, and the changing competitive business landscape.

Prior to his new role, Trevear served as Deloitte’s US Strategic Growth Offerings Leader, where he was responsible for the go-to-market, investment and integration of Deloitte’s most strategic offerings including AI, M&A, Finance Transformation, and Sustainability. He also led Deloitte’s global cross-business, go-to market strategy to drive differentiated growth.

Trevear earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and holds a BS in Computer Science from Clark Atlanta University. He is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and the Executive Leadership Council (ELC).

Residing in Houston with his wife, Trevear enjoys traveling with his family including his three children and is an avid music fan, particularly Gospel, R&B, and Jazz. Moreover, Trevear strongly believes in the power of giving back to the community. He is a member of the Advisory Board at his local church and is an active INROADS alumnus where he sponsors several Deloitte/INROADS events and is an advocate for creating pathways for diverse students in the professional services industry.
