SAVANNAH – Mrs. Flora Bell Bryant Jenkins, age 100 passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon,
August 17, 2025 at Pruitt Healthcare- Savannah. Flora Bell Bryant Jenkins was born on December
15, 1924, in Sylvania, Georgia. She was the eldest of her siblings.

She was married in holy matrimony to LeRoy Jenkins, and together they traveled the world during his military career.

She was a graduate of Richard Arnold School and later a graduate of Madam Cargo Beauty and later became the owner and operator of Flora’s Beauty Shop. Flora was a talented beautician and
served her community for over 60 years until her health began to decline.

She is preceded in death by both parents, her husband LeRoy Jenkins, brother, Herbert Bryant, Sr., sister, Mary Ellen “Josie” Nesbitt, a niece Yvonne Bryant Bass and nephew, Herbert Bryant, Jr.

She is survived by her beloved daughter: Elizabeth Jenkins; four grandchildren: Charonn Jenkins, Aisha Jackson, James Massey (Esspie), and Alvin Wright; and four great-grandchildren: Nyesha Jackson, James Massey Jr., Jamie Massey, and Robert John. Additionally, she had one great-great-grandchild, Dream Saroya. Flora’s family also includes nine nieces (three of whom are deceased), eight nephews (four deceased), and a multitude of great-nieces and nephews. She shared a special bond with her cousin Isaiah Anderson, known as Pete, and Henry Anderson (deceased). Flora considered Cynthia Baker and Pearly Johnson as special daughters, and she held a special place in her heart for her niece Everlyn Wilson and nephew Eugene Gilbert (deceased), as well as her special son Horace Hall and nephew-in-love Odie Bass, along with a devoted church family whom she deeply loved.
