Key takeaways
  • Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman appeared at Love on the Spectrum season four premiere engagement party for Madison Marilla and Tyler White.
  • Abbey joked "Hopefully we're next"; David replied engagement will happen when the time is right.
  • The couple previously discussed eloping and marriage with family; Abbey's mother Christine said marriage can "look like whatever you want."
  • Fans are heartbroken, but the split gives Abbey and David a chance to find separate happily ever afters.

Love on the Spectrum follows love and dating, and sometimes with that comes breakups. Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman, who began dating in season one, have split, People and The Sun report. “Abbey and David spent four and a half years together and truly value the time they shared and each other,” Romeo and Isaacman told People. “At this point, they want different things and have decided to go their separate ways, but they remain friends wishing each other the best.” The Sun claims the two broke up over marriage disagreements. “They couldn’t come to an agreement on when to get married. She was ready years ago, he still needed time,” a source close to Romeo told The Sun. “They did break up, but he is doing very well,” a separate source for Isaacman added. The two were dating for five years.

The news comes shortly after the premiere of season four, where Romeo and Isaacman made a guest appearance at Madison Marilla and Tyler White’s engagement party. “Hopefully we’re next!” Romeo wondered as she received the invite. “We can only be engaged whenever the time is right,” Isaacman replied. In previous seasons, the two discussed with family what marriage would look like for them if they were to elope. “Look, this can look like whatever you want it to look like,” Romeo’s mother, Christine, recounted in a past conversation with Abbey, to Isaacman’s family in season three.

While the news is heartbreaking for fans who’ve followed their relationship since 2021, it gives Romeo and Isaacman the chance to find their separate happily ever after.
