  • Gucci Mane mocks Pooh Shiesty as a crash dummy, notes he stayed signed, and calls BIG30 a stone cold junkie.

Gucci Mane finally breaks his silence on the Pooh Shiesty drama with a pointed, unfiltered response titled “Crash Dummy,” taking aim at Pooh Shiesty, BIG30, and even Shiesty’s father.

Produced by Zaytoven, “Crash Dummy” finds Guwop addressing the alleged kidnapping and robbery he was a victim of at the hands of Shiesty, BIG30, and several other defendants during a meeting in Texas earlier this year. In a criminal complaint filed by the Department of Justice in Dallas, prosecutors allege Pooh Shiesty and eight men traveled with him from Memphis to Dallas to meet with Gucci to discuss business.

Instead, shortly after arriving at the meeting, members of the group allegedly brandished pistols and threatened Gucci and several of his associates, robbing them of jewelry and other personal belongings. Said to be unhappy with his contractual agreement with Gucci’s 1017 Records, Pooh Shiesty forced the CEO to sign documents releasing him from his contract, which was filmed by a member of Shiesty’s entourage.

While the story flew under the radar for much of the year, that changed earlier this month, when Pooh Shiesty and eight other defendants were charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison.

On “Crash Dummy,” Gucci Mane gives his firsthand account of the circumstances that led to his alleged showdown with Pooh Shiesty, unleashing a vicious diss track that makes it clear that he’s not shying away from the controversy or holding any punches.

  • Gucci Mane Confirms Pooh Shiesty Meeting Was A Setup

“You know I got my bread up, I always keep my head up/ I thought it was a business meeting, but it was a set up/ I walk in the room, you can feel the pressure building/ Nigga dapped me up, the whole time they plotting against me”

According to Gucci Mane, he was lured to a meeting with Pooh Shiesty and his cohorts under the guise of speaking about business, however, he alleges the vibe quickly changed, as he realized Pooh Shiesty and company’s true intent.

  • Gucci Mane Shows No Remorse

“It’s all on you, can’t be wearin’ no disguises/ You play stupid games, then you win stupid prizes/ Some people like to take a nigga kindness for weakness/ I pulled up on business, but y’all was on some weak shit”

Mr. 1017 accuses Pooh Shiesty of taking his kindness for granted and plotting his downfall, chiding the Memphis rapper for potentially risking his freedom for the “stupid prize” of remaining contractually signed to his record label.

  • Gucci Mane Compares BIG30 and Pooh Shiesty to Suge Knight and Dr. Dre

“A nigga set up the play, like Suge Knight did with Dre/ But I ain’t Eazy-E, nigga, and this ain’t back in the day/ This 1017 the label, I built this shit from the ground/ And I be damned if I let a nigga take my shit down/ Pressure on my chest, but I still ain’t pressed/ Pen to the paper, but it’s under duress”

The legal and professional conflict between Gucci Mane and Pooh Shiesty is eerily similar to that of Suge Knight and Dr. Dre’s infamous contractual rift with late N.W.A founder Eazy-E. In 1991, Eazy-E allegedly let Dre out of his Ruthless Records contract while under the duress of Knight and his goons, thus allowing Knight and Dre to move forward in launching Death Row Records. Gucci points these parallels out, albeit emphasizing that, unlike Eazy-E, he has managed to retain contractual ownership of Pooh Shiesty’s music despite his alleged intimidation tactics.

  • Gucci Mane Blames Pooh Shiesty’s Betrayal On Bad Parenting

“The artist and the CEO, I wear a lot of hats/ They smile in your face, then they stab you in your back/ You learn from your daddy, so I guess that it’s hereditary/ I’m that same nigga that put money on your commissary.”

One of the more personal lines from “Crash Dummy” is Gucci’s reference to Lontrell Williams Sr., Pooh Shiesty‘s father, alleged involvement in the suspected ambush and robbery. Holding Williams Sr., also known as “Mob Boss,” partially accountable for his son’s actions, Guwop also reminds Pooh Shiesty of the assistance he provided him during his three-year prison stint for a 2021 firearms conspiracy charge.

  • Gucci Mane Rubs Salt in The Wound

“Tell the truth, you went out like a real crash dummy/ And after all that, boy, you still signed to me/ I’m like Birdman and, nigga, this my Cash Money/ And your fat ass flunkie, he a stone cold junkie”

Gucci Mane clowns Pooh Shiesty for attempting to extricate himself from his recording contract by alleged force, only to be arrested and still have his musical career under Guwop’s control. He also pegs BIG30, Pooh Shiesty’s codefendant in the case, as a drug addict and “flunkie.”
