Nonprofit Spotlight – Making a Difference in Our Community: The McIntosh County Health Department is teaming up with the Southeast Georgia Health System (SGHS) to provide free mammogram screenings to eligible individuals on Thursday, October 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event will take place at the Eulonia Piggly Wiggly, where the SGHS Mobile Mammography Unit will be located at 15759 U.S. Highway 17 in Townsend. This is a walk-in event. Appointments are not necessary. No-cost mammograms are available for women aged 40 and older who are uninsured and meet income guidelines.
