City to Host Ribbon Cutting for Renovated Forsyth Park Basketball Courts
SAVANNAH – The City of Savannah’s Recreation and Leisure Services will celebrate the renovation of Forsyth Park’s basketball courts with a ribbon cutting on April 12 at 2 p.m.
The nearly $190,000 project completely refaced a decades old basketball court with new infrastructure, including backboards, rims, fencing, and a new playing surface.
The reconstruction of one of Savannah’s most popular basketball courts was made possible by the City’s Recreation Re-Imagined initiative.
Recreation Re-Imagined, launched by the City in 2022, is a continuous improvement initiative focused on re-thinking how recreation is delivered in Savannah. The aim is to enrich the lives of residents and guests by providing high-quality recreation experiences.
