    Chatham Area Transit (CAT) Update:

6/20/2025 – Chatham Area Transit Authority (CAT) is excited to announce the official launch of its summer series, CAT Chats: Your Ride, Your Voice, a set of community informational sessions designed to engage directly with residents across Chatham County.

The first CAT Chats will take place on Wednesday, June 25, at the W.W. Law Community Center, located at 900 E. Bolton St., Savannah, GA, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Each CAT Chats is a two-part session where CAT meets the community where they are. The first half includes a brief presentation on CAT services, upcoming changes, and projects. The second half is dedicated to public input, featuring an open Q&A with CAT Chiefs and staff along with opportunities for attendees to share written feedback.

“Public transit works best when it reflects the needs of the people it serves,” said Interim Executive Director/CEO Stephanie Cutter. “With CAT Chats, we’re creating a space for open dialogue—meeting the community where they are and listening to what matters most to them.”

CAT will continue hosting these community conversations at additional locations throughout the summer:

    • Liberty City Community Center – 1401 Mills B Ln Blvd.
      • Wednesday, July 23, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
    • TBD
      • Wednesday, August 27, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.

All community members are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and help shape the future of public transportation in Chatham County.

For more information, visit catchacat.org or call (912) 233-5767.
