City of Savannah: Official News, Events & Community Updates

City Leaders Host Savannah Night Out to Provide Public Update on Draft Strategic Plan

SAVANNAH – The City of Savannah invites residents to attend a special Savannah Night Out on Wednesday, June 25 to hear an update on Savannah GPS: Your Strategic Plan.

At the beginning of the year, the City Manager’s office held several community meetings and launched an online public survey aimed at gathering feedback from residents on the City’s first strategic plan since 2017.

A draft version of Savannah GPS: Your Strategic Plan was released earlier this month and is available to view at savannahga.gov/gps. Public comments on the draft will be accepted through Friday, June 20.

Savannah City Council held the first public hearing and first public reading of the plan during its regular meeting on Thursday, June 12.

The Savannah Night Out event on June 25 is an opportunity to share details of the plan with the public before the anticipated second reading and final adoption of the plan by City Council during a regular meeting on Thursday, June 26

What: Savannah Night Out – Savannah GPS Presentation

When: Wednesday, June 25, 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Where: Otis S. Johnson Cultural Arts Center, 201 Montgomery St.
