    SAVANNAH – The City of Savannah will host a variety of Halloween events later this month, offering fun activities for families, children, and pets. The events will take place in multiple locations and will include candy giveaways, costume contests, games, and more. 

    On Thursday, Oct. 24, the Recreation and Leisure Services Department will host two Halloween events. The annual Trunk-or-Treat will be held at Grayson Stadium at 5 p.m. and will feature decorated trunks filled with candy, food trucks, a haunted house, face painting, a live DJ, and a costume contest for all ages. City of Savannah and community vehicles will also be on display for families to enjoy.  

    At the same time, Howl-o-Ween at Daffin Park will take place at 5 p.m. The event offers a fun, pet-friendly environment with local pet vendors, adoption agencies, and a pet costume contest. Both events are free and open to the public. 

    Savannah Police Department’s Savannah Impact Program will host a Trunk-or-Treat on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 6 p.m. at their headquarters on Waters Avenue. Local businesses, food vendors, artisans, and community organizations will be part of this festive and family-friendly event where they’ll decorate their trunk and hand out treats.

    On Halloween night, Friday, Oct. 31, the City’s Water Reclamation Department will host its Fifth Annual Trunk-or-Treat at 6 p.m. at the President Street Water Reclamation Plant. This event will feature face painting, candy, and more.

    SPD’s Community Engagement Division will be hosting Blue Light Fright Night on Friday, Oct. 31 at 5:30 p.m.  at SPD’s Central Precinct. This event includes a haunted house walkthrough and 13 candy stations, with pre-filled bags for those with strollers and wheelchairs. CrimeStoppers, Old Savannah City Mission, and Bay Street Blues are partnering with SPD for the event.
