    We celebrate the life and memory of Elder Herman Lee Mitchell whose death occurred on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at his residence.

    Elder Herman L. Mitchell was a devoted father to three children: Christine (Dale) Middleton, Elyse (Mark) Bias, and Anna (Warren Sr.) Drayton. He leaves behind eight cherished grandchildren—Latesha Mitchell, Eric Mason Jr., Joshua Middleton, Herman Bias, Jasmine Middleton, Warren Drayton II, Trenton Drayton, and Mitchell Gunner Drayton—as well as three great-grandchildren.

    He is also survived by siblings Sylvia (William Sr.) Nelson, Bernard Cochran, Cynthia Davis, Isaac Porter, Doris Porter, Paul (Vivian) Porter, and Ethel Porter; along with a host of cousins, nieces, relatives, and friends. He deeply treasured the time he spent with family and loved ones.

    Elder Herman L. Mitchell will always be remembered for his warm smile, generous spirit, and his remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued. He will be profoundly missed and forever held in our hearts.

    Wake Services: 

    5:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Pentecostal Miracle Deliverance Center, 4712 Bull St. Savannah, GA 31405

    Celebration of Life Services:

    10:00 a.m. Friday, December 5, 2025 at Pentecostal Miracle Deliverance Center, 4712 Bull St. Savannah, GA 31405

    Interment

    St. Luke AME Church Cemetery, Mizzell Rd. Hollywood, SC 29449
