Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

    Key takeaways
    • Embrace a Spring reset across home, closet, and wellness to spark new energy and outdoor happiness.
    • Refresh home: update bedding, new office chair, coffee table, ditch small storage/TV stand; refreshed office after collaborating with IKEA.
    • Purge closets: reduce wardrobe by about half, stop hoarding nostalgic pieces, skip selling effort on Depop or Poshmark for now.
    • Recommit to wellness: return to gym three times weekly, split cardio and weights, and try Hotworx at least twice a week.
    • Small resets boost mood and structure; refreshing home, closet, and wellness brightens daily life and future plans, y'all.

I cannot believe that we’ve already made it to March. Seriously, 2026, where do you have to be?? Time is passing by so quickly, and while I do wish it would slow down a little bit, I am starting to get excited for what lies ahead.

Spring is officially on the horizon, y’all.

I’m truly a cold-weather baby, but there is something about Spring that still gives me butterflies. All of the coldness and starkness is beginning to give way to new life and beauty, so I start to daydream about being outside in the sun, hanging on patios, traveling, and just overall happiness. A sense of newness buzzes in the air, and I can’t wait to see what the season brings.

One thing that it also bring is thoughts about resetting. Resetting my closet, refreshing my home, restarting my wellness routine…you get what I mean. Basically, it’s time for a Spring reset. I love my home (I’ll be celebrating 4 years here next month), so I want to refresh my bedding and home office. A few years ago I collaborated with IKEA to design my home office, and I’m ready to change up a few things. It’s so hard for me to get rid of furniture for some reason, but I’m in desperate need of a new office chair, and I have a small storage/TV stand that I need to get rid of for more space. I also want a new coffee table.

Regarding my closet (well, 3 closets, lol), I need to do a really big purge. I regularly clean my closet out but this time around, I feel like I need to reduce what I have by at least half. I have so many pieces that I no longer wear but am holding on for nostalgic reasons, but I need to rip the bandaid off and let them go. I wish I had the capacity to set up a depop or poshmark but it’s just one more thing to do and I don’t want anything else “work” related on my plate. Plus, I’ve finally found a lot of the pieces that have been on my wardrobe wist list, but they get lost in the mix because I have so much. It’s time to let some things go.

As far as wellness goes, it’s really time to lock back in. I’ve fallen off from my workout routine, and I need to get back to it. I’ve got to stick to my schedule so that I can go to the gym 3x a week. My workouts are only an hour (I split cardio with weights for a full body workout), but I’ve let client work and meetings get in the way of that and I want to get back on track, because not only do I feel great when I work out regularly, but it helps to add more structure to my daily routine. I also signed up for Hotworx right before Thanksgiving but have only been like 3 times (just wasting money!!!), but before I cancel the membership, I really want to give it a go and try to go at least twice a week. I love it when I get there, but the getting there is what’s been hard. I also want to cook waaaaay more than what I’ve been doing, but that’s a whole separate conversation for another day, lol.

Everything else is pretty good, and I know that resetting in those areas will help make a huge difference across the board. So while I am a little sad to see Winter go (the first official day of Spring is this month on the 20th), I’m also excited for what’s to come.

What about you? Are you reseting anything in your life? Are you looking forward to Spring?
