Savannah Chatham County Public School System (SCCPS) Update:

Key takeaways
  • Parker’s Fueling the Community donated $100,000 to support SCCPSS teachers and students.
  • The donation was presented at the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for Parker’s newest Port Wentworth store.
  • Parker’s Fueling the Community gives a percentage of gas sales monthly to area schools since 2011.
  • Parker’s Kitchen is a recognized convenience and foodservice leader with a large loyalty program and regional presence.

The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System is grateful for the continued support our schools receive from Parkers Kitchen Convenience stores.  On Thursday, January 15, 2026, the district received a $100,000 donation from Parker’s as part of their “Fueling the Community” program. Savannah-Chatham Board of Education President Roger Moss accepted the donation on behalf of local teachers and students at a special check presentation at the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for the company’s newest store in Port Wentworth.  Parkers is also celebrating their 50th year in business.

The Parker’s Fueling the Community charitable initiative donates a percentage of gas sold at all Parker’s and Parker’s Kitchen locations on the first Wednesday of each month to area schools. The company has given more than $3 million to public and private schools in Georgia and South Carolina since the inception of the Fueling the Community program in 2011.

Honored by USA TODAY as a Top Workplace, Parker’s Kitchen is strategically redefining the nation’s convenience store industry, offering customers high-quality products, freshly prepared food and superior customer service at retail stores throughout South Carolina and Georgia. Founded in 1976 and proudly headquartered in Savannah, Ga., Parker’s Kitchen has a commitment to exceeding customer expectations and has repeatedly been recognized as one of the nation’s leading convenience store and foodservice companies. The company serves world-famous hand-breaded Southern Fried Chicken Tenders as well as made-from-scratch mac ‘n’ cheese, a breakfast bar and daily specials. The popular Parker’s Rewards loyalty program has 650,000 members and has saved customers more than $30 million to date. Parker’s Kitchen employs more than 1,800 team members throughout South Carolina and Georgia and completes more than 1.1 million transactions weekly. Learn more: parkerskitchen.com.
