Savannah State University is pleased to announce that student-athlete Johan Sandoval has been released from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention and reunited with his family.

Following a thorough review, the University confirmed that it accurately prepared and submitted all required documentation based on the information available to it. The documentation that became the subject of this matter was not provided to Savannah State University by Johan’s previous institution.
