Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

    Key takeaways
    • Stock up on beauty staples during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, buying sets and duos to save and use before products expire.
    • Treat yourself to luxury favorites like Tom Ford lipsticks, OSEA body sets, and Slip silk pillowcases for skin and hair benefits.
    • Invest in hair tools and accessories: gentle hair ties, volumizing styling tools similar to the Dyson, and high-quality makeup brushes.
    • Use the sale to test new-to-you items like lip balms, NARS cream sticks, eye patches, travel-size minis, and a relaxing massager.

The beauty section is honestly one of my favorite parts of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Unlike clothing, I don’t have to guess whether I’ll wear something. I already know exactly which products I’ll use up before next year’s sale rolls around.

Every year, I stock up on the beauty products I genuinely love while they’re on sale, and then I usually throw a few new-to-me products into my cart that I’ve been wanting to try. So today I’m sharing both: the beauty staples I never skip and the products I’m excited to test this year.

I love Tom Ford lipstick after I discovered it last fall! It is truly a luxury lipstick – richly pigmented and yet feels weightless on the lips. I love that this set from the Nordstrom Sale includes two lipsticks – I’m wearing the shade “Slip” in the above photo!

If you’ve followed me for any length of time, you already know how much I love OSEA. This body set is one of my favorite beauty splurges because it makes my skin feel insanely soft and hydrated. The body oil gives your skin the prettiest glow, and I love using it after shaving or before a date night. The salt scrub is the best for exfoliating, especially if you’re going to self-tan. If you’ve been wanting to try OSEA, this is the best time to buy it!

These are the only hair ties I use anymore! They’re so much gentler on my hair than regular elastics, and I don’t get that annoying crease when I take my hair down. They’re definitely a little luxury, but once you try them, it’s hard to go back.

I am OBSESSED with this body wash and always have a few bottles in our linen closet for when we run out. I also buy the mini sets for when we travel. This is one of those products that makes your everyday shower feel a little more luxurious. I love the clean ingredients, the subtle scent, and how moisturizing it feels.

You all know this has been one of my go-to mascaras for YEARS! I love how much volume it gives my lashes without needing a ton of coats, and buying the duo during the sale is such a good deal because I know I’ll use both before they dry out. I have tried switching mascara brands and somehow always come back to this one!

The Slip brand is my favorite brand of silk pillowcases…. they’re seriously like an eight-hour beauty treatment every night. Silk fibers are significantly less absorbent than many other fibers, so they help keep your skin’s moisture and expensive face and hair products where they belong – on your face and hair, not your pillow. I always pick up a new set during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!

This lip kit is probably my favorite thing in the beauty section this year!! For the past few years, Charlotte Tilbury’s “Pillow Talk” lipstick has been my go-to lipstick, and I’m always losing mine (and constantly complaining that I need one for every handbag). I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I especially love the lip gloss from this kit, as well!

Since getting my hair cut with lots of layers last year, this is the only product I use to both dry and style my hair. It gives a ton of volume and helps me curl the short layers close to my face… it’s the closest that I can get to a salon blowout at home! It’s also waaaay more affordable than the Dyson Airwrap but does the exact same thing!

These are hands down my favorite makeup brushes I’ve ever owned. They’re incredibly soft, blend everything beautifully, and have held up so well over the years. It’s definitely an investment, but it’s one you’ll use every single day.

I actually own this and use it all the time, but I don’t think I’ve ever shared it before! It feels amazing after a long day or when my neck and shoulders are especially tight. As a mom constantly carrying kids (and now a newborn!), this has been such a nice way to unwind for a few minutes at the end of the day. The thing that I like about this specific massager is that it TRULY feels like a pair of hands massaging your back – kind of crazy! Haha.

I also wanted to share the beauty products that have been sitting in my cart for months! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale felt like the perfect time to finally order them, and I’m excited to see if they’re worth the hype. I’ll keep you posted once I’ve had a chance to try everything!

I’ve heard so many people rave about this lip balm that I finally decided to order it during the sale! My lips are constantly dry lately (thanks, postpartum and breastfeeding!), so I’m hoping this becomes my new everyday lip balm. I’ll definitely report back once I’ve had a chance to use it.

I’ve always loved NARS products, but I’ve never tried their cream blush or highlighter sticks. I love an easy, glowy makeup look, especially in the summer, so I’m hoping these become a quick everyday favorite. Plus, this set is such a good value!

With a newborn, I feel like these are practically a necessity. I love using eye patches while I drink my morning coffee, and these are supposed to help de-puff and brighten tired under-eyes. They’ve been on my wish list for a while, so I’m excited to finally give them a try.

This is probably the most random thing I ordered, but I’ve heard amazing things about this brand’s scents. I love having pretty hand soaps in our kitchen and bathrooms, and this sale seemed like the perfect excuse to finally try them.

I always love getting beauty sets during the sale so I can try multiple products! This brow kit is such a good deal!!

Between carrying a newborn, nursing, and sitting at my computer editing, my neck and shoulders have definitely been feeling it lately. This looked like the perfect little luxury to help me relax at the end of the day, and I can’t wait for it to arrive.

With the amount of sleep I’m getting these days (or lack thereof), I’m hoping this eye cream helps brighten and refresh my under-eyes. I’ll be sure to let you know if it lives up to the hype!

If there’s anything in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale beauty department that you absolutely love and you think we should try out… please let me know in the comments! Maybe I missed over something good!
