Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

    Key takeaways
    • Zara is having a major moment, everywhere from Meghan Markle to red carpets; affordable pieces look surprisingly polished.
    • Every silhouette is trending: barrel legs, capris, wide leg, low rise, even skinny jeans; more freedom to wear what you like.
    • Refillable beauty often fails sustainability claims; "bottle within a bottle" and many uses needed to offset extra materials.

    1. HEALTH

Can spending more actually make you healthier? This piece digs into the booming longevity industry – from concierge doctors with $$$ annual fees to the endless stream of supplements promising better skin, longer lives, and everything in between! The answer is… complicated. While having access to more personalized care and time with a doctor can absolutely be valuable, a lot of what’s being sold (especially in the supplement world) isn’t as scientifically proven as it sounds! Here’s my big takeaway: sleep, exercise, diet, and strong relationships still matter more than any expensive shortcut! It’s easy to get pulled into the idea that there’s some optimized, premium version of health you can buy your way into, but this felt like a good reminder that the basics are still doing most of the heavy lifting.

    2. FASHION

Zara is having a major moment right now – and not just with us normal people, but with celebrities too! Apparently it’s one of the fastest-rising brands of 2026, popping up everywhere from Meghan Markle’s travel wardrobe to red carpets and even the Super Bowl halftime show! I also feel like I’ve been seeing this firsthand because my recent Zara reel randomly went viral, and I swear there are just so many good finds lately. When you can mix a $26 Zara t-shirt with a great bag or blazer and have it look genuinely polished, it’s kind of hard to beat.

    3. CULTURE

Here’s an interesting stat – we’re speaking way less than we used to! A recent study found that the average person is saying thousands fewer words per day compared to the early 2000s, largely thanks to texting, remote work, and just generally spending more time alone! And while that all tracks (I mean… how many full conversations do you actually have on a given weekday?), it does come with a downside. We’re losing a lot of the nuance that comes with real, in-person communication, like tone and body language. What I found most interesting is that even small talk with strangers (something I feel like we all actively try to avoid) actually plays a bigger role in our sense of connection and well-being than we realize!

    4. BEAUTY

Refillable beauty products aren’t quite the sustainability win they’re often marketed as. In theory, refills sound great (less waste, reduced packaging, etc.), but in practice, a lot of them require so many uses to actually offset the extra materials that go into making them. And in some cases, brands are basically creating a “bottle within a bottle,” which defeats the purpose entirely! Plus, if people don’t love the product enough to keep refilling it over and over, the whole system falls apart! While there are some brands starting to do it better, it definitely made me think twice about assuming something is sustainable just because it’s labeled that way.

    5. STYLE

If you’ve been confused about what pants are actually “in” right now, you’re not alone! This article argues that we’ve hit a point where every silhouette is trending at the same time – barrel legs, capris, wide leg, low rise, even skinny jeans creeping back in – which somehow makes it feel like nothing is trending at all. It’s a little chaotic, especially for millennials who are watching the full trend cycle loop back around in real time! But the upside is that there’s a lot more freedom to just wear what you like instead of trying to keep up with one “correct” shape. (And for the record, I’m still loving barrel leg jeans!)

    6. TRAVEL

If you love the idea of a beautiful, design-forward hotel but don’t love the typical luxury price tag, this list of the best new affordable luxury hotels is worth saving! It features a bunch of new and newly renovated hotels around the world that still feel elevated but come in under $300 a night. Think places with strong design, great locations, and that “it” factor… just without the four-figure nightly rate. I’m definitely bookmarking this list for the future, especially the hotel in the Loire Valley!
