Mr. William David Kemp

MR. WILLIAM DAVID KEMP, 77, was born on Mey 3,1948 to loving parents, the late Reverend Willie and Mrs. LaurieThompson-Kemp in Sylvania, GA.
William received his early Christian upbringings at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Sylvania, GA, and remained there faithfully before relocating to Newark, NJ. He subsequently relocated to Atlanta, GA, where he united with the Salem Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Jasper Williams until he moved back home.
He received his formal education in the public schools of Screven County where he graduated Central High School in the Class of 1969. He was employed in the imaging and technology industry as well as a forklift operator.
William David Kemp was joined in Holy Matrimony to the former Martha Ann Roberts on March 16, 2001. To this beloved union of 24 years, their relationship blossomed into a united family that included: DeMarco, Ebonie, Michael, and Jasmine.
On Wednesday August 27, 2025, William David Kemp completed his earthly chapter to enter rest in eternity at his residence following an extended illness.
He was an avid fisherman; he loved cooking on the grill and cutting grass. His life and memory will forever live in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by both parents: Reverend Willie and Mrs. Laurie Thompson-Kemp, Evelyn Pulliam, James Kemp, Sr., Herbert Kemp, George Kemp, Marion Kemp, and John Kemp.
He leaves to cherish his memory and life his devoted wife Martha Ann Roberts Kemp, Sylvania, GA; (1) Son: DeMarco (Lisa) Kemp, Atlanta, GA; His bonus children: Ebonie V. Lumpkin and Jasmine Jones both of Sylvania, GA, and Michael Jones, Columbia, SC, (4) Granddaughters: Mikala A. Kemp, Atlanta, GA, Natalyiah S. Lumpkin, Azuria V. Lumpkin, and Akenya J. Badger; (1) Sister: Mary Butler, and two brothers: Charles Kemp of Fort Valley, GA and Ernest Kemp of Atlanta, GA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends that he encountered along his life’s journey.
