    ATLANTA, Ga.- The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released their all conference baseball team on Thursday morning and a trio of Savannah State players were among those recognized for their play on the diamond during the 2026 regular season.

    All-SIAC teams and individual honorees were voted by the conference’s head coaches.

    Second baseman Johan Sandoval was named to the First Team while starting pitcher Austin McCormack and relief pitcher Adonis Perez were named to the Second Team.

    Last season, Sandoval was named to the All-SIAC Second Team as a first baseman and Perez was named to the all conference Second Team as a relief pitcher.

    Sandoval enters the post-season batting .374 and leads the team in runs (50), hits (61), doubles (15), walks (31) and stolen bases (18). He is tied for the team lead in triples (4) and home runs (3).

    The junior from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic had one of his best games of the season against Miles on March 28 when he went 4-for-4 at the plate and finished the contest with five RBI and three runs. He also had four-hit performance against Tuskegee where he drove in three runs on April 3.

    McCormack had a 7-2 record with 67 strikeouts to go with his 3.77 ERA and four complete games and 86 innings pitched.

    On March 14, McCormack pitched six innings and struck out 11 batters against Benedict and on March 28 he pitched seven innings and threw a three-hitter against Miles. The Tampa, Florida native twilled a two-hitter against Tuskegee on April 3.

    Perez, a native of Woodbury, New Jersey, pitched 25 innings and made 15 appearances compiling a 3-2 record with 21 strikeouts, two saves and a 6.12 earned run average.

    His best game came against Morehouse on March 1 when he struck out four batters in two innings and did not give up any runs.
