Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

    Key takeaways
    • Consistent theme: affordable dupes from Zara replace luxury looks like Khaite, Miu Miu, and Tom Ford.
    • The white tank became a social hit after Jaclyn Hill spotted it; she wears it constantly and bought the black too.
    • Packing challenges in Dallas: rainy, humid weather favored versatile pieces and regretting an ill fitting cropped trench.
    • Scored a long sought Audemars Piguet watch in Dallas; loves stainless steel plus rose gold and hopes for a diamond bezel.

    OUTFIT DETAILS

JACKET: Helsa [size small- wish I had an XS.  This option & THIS OPTION is a better price point & fully in stock!] | TANK: Favorite Daughter [size small bc I got it while pregnant- this tank is a top seller on my socials lately! I just ordered the black version.] | PANTS: Zara [size 6– They are a dupe for THESE KHAITE JEANS!] | SHOES: Gucci | SUNGLASSES: Amazon | EARRINGS: Amazon  | BRACELET: Van Cleef & Arpels [dupe option HERE] | RING: RW Fine Jewelry | PINKY RING: RW Fine Jewelry | OURA RING COVER: Logan Hollowell | BAG: Hermes | PHONE CASE: Flaunt | POPSOCKET: Target | LIP COMBO: ‘Anywhere Caffeine‘ + ‘Blankety‘ + ‘Girlie Girl‘ all over and ‘Date Night‘ in center! Just a heads up that I always recommend the bundle because you save $12 and most all customers come back for the other shades since they are all so flattering on everyone!

We went to Dallas last week to pick up something special! I had an outfit planned to wear but it has been raining so much off & on that I didn’t know what to pack. It goes from rainy and hot / humid to sometimes nice – all in one day some days. I ended up packing this cropped trench that — DOESNT even fit well, ughhh! I will say that Zara now has one like it for a third of the cost and I wish I had just purchased that instead- so be aware! On that note, I stopped at Zara on our way into Dallas to grab these high waisted, wide legged jeans that remind me of my $650 Khaite jeans. The heels were a splurge item I got in Dallas a few weeks ago and I love them! I do wish I had gotten the taupe too! The taupe Gucci print is so classic –  I have two other pair of Gucci heels that are several years old and have remained at the front of my closet because I wear them yearly. Nowwwww, my tank top. This is SO random but it was a “top seller” on my Instagram and I *KNOW* why. So, I have tons of white tanks but THIS white tank is special. I saw it on Jaclyn Hill’s IG stories last summer and I said “ok this is random but that is that tank?” bc I could tell that it was high quality and just looked expensive ya know. Turns out it feels amazing too. I have to wash it every other day because I wear it so much. I ended up purchasing black too but I wear the white most often under stuff and alone! ALSO!! One other thing to point out! So, my earrings are AMAZON! And they are a dupe for THESE $225 Jennifer Fisher huggies.

This little tank + cardigan is a good set to have on hand this summer. I throw it on with shorts and jeans! The jeans are a AGOLDE dupe and they are really fun. I’m still ab 14lbs up in weight at 7 weeks postpartum so none of my old jeans fit so I love finding a good dupe item. Almost all of my jeans lately are dupes for expensive pairs! If you scroll through this post you’ll notice a theme.

I love this outfit because all of it reminds me of something expensive. The Zara tank is giving Miu Miu. The jeans are giving Khaite. The wedges are giving Veronica Beard wedges that are nearly $400!!! The sunglasses are giving Tom Ford.

I got this set while in Dallas a few weeks ago after running by Alo to get something comfy to wear. The Alo price point is so so high and I know I cant justify their price point if I continue to lose weight and de-puff. I notice each week my stomach being less puffy/doughy and swollen so I don’t want to waste $$. Anyway, this set is actually so comfy and cute and the price is amazing.

AP royal oak two toned womens watch 37mm, highland park village aP watch

If you are here for the AP content – boy do I have a story for you! A lot of you know I’ve been a fancy watch girl for many years. Prior to Covid I got into Rolex right before they became so hard to get. I got very lucky on the timing really. However, a couple of years ago I saw a girlfriends AP and I was stunned. I had not seen one in real life and the bracelet on it just glistened! Anytime we traveled I would pop into the AP store – only to get stared at like “what are you doing in here?!” lol!! This past winter Luke and I were at the Shops at Bal Harbour in Miami and I was big and pregnant and thought I’d try my luck but they basically just said hi and that was it. Always makes me feel awkward because I’m not a looky-loo – I am a shopper 🙂 Anyway, we went to Dallas a few weeks back for a lunch meeting and our friend who knows I dream of an AP was like “hey I have a contact there if you want to stop by!”. We ended up meeting a guy who was so knowledgable and made it a good experience. He let me try some on and create a wishlist – on a Tuesday. I texted him that Friday to thank him for helping and he was like “hey I have a watch coming in next week and its one that you wanted”. SOO we drove in to pick it up and I actually loved it on John! But John is not as into watches [right now] soo I got it and I figure he and I can share it 🙂 haha. Who knows?! It looks amazing on his skin tone! However, I love the stainless steel + AP rose gold so I’m obsessed! I do hope one day I’ll get offered a diamond bezel one for nicer occasions – I love a masculine watch for casual looks day to day but I def want a feminine look too. This was on my wishlist though and I was shocked I was able to get it so quickly!
