CP OPINION, Brack: We can all do better. “All of us are imperfect creatures. We see these imperfections every day in the politician who twists facts or outright lies. Or in the greedy businessman who squeezes someone to make another penny. And in the person who is having a bad day and yells at someone for no reason. Face it: We can all do better.”

CP FOOD: 20 affordable places to get great eats in Charleston. No matter how you slice it, the economy is awful. Gas is $4.16 a gallon. Inflation is at 3.8%. AROUND TOWN: New Johns Island park uses nature to reduce flooding. Charleston municipal leaders say the new The Dale T. Morris Ecological Park, named in honor of the city’s late resilience director, will reduce flooding and improve water quality throughout the area.
