    City of Savannah: Official News, Events & Community Updates

    City of Savannah, Board of Education Expand Partnership to Open Additional Pools

    SAVANNAH – The City of Savannah, in an expanded partnership with the Savannah-Chatham Public School System Board of Public Education, announces openings and operating hours for two additional public pools.

    In adherence to the facility use agreement between the City of Savannah and the SCCPSS Board of Public Education, Brock Pool will open Monday, July 13, 2026, and Haven Pool will open Saturday, July 18, 2026. Jenkins Pool will be temporarily unavailable beginning July 16, 2026, due to mechanical and water quality issues.

    “SCCPSS and City staff have worked diligently to operationalize community pool programming across BOE’s pool inventory,” said City Manager Jay Melder. “Opening Brock and Haven allows the City to facilitate these key sites through the end of the school pool season, July 30.”

    Hours of operation for Brock and Haven pools are as follows:

    Brock Pool – 1814 Stratford Street

    • Monday through Thursday: 1:00pm – 5:00pm, Open Swim
    • Saturday and Sunday: 1:00pm – 6:00pm, Open Swim

    Haven Pool – 511 Dillon Avenue

    • Monday through Thursday:
    • 9:00am – 9:45am, Adult Lessons
    • 10:00am – 11:30am, Daycare Lessons
    • 1:00pm – 5:00pm, Open Swim
    • 6:30pm – 7:15pm, Adult Lessons
    • Saturday and Sunday: 1:00pm – 6:00pm, Open Swim

    The City’s interim director of Recreation and Leisure Services, Ricky Allison, is available for media interviews on this topic in the coming days. Reach out to the City’s press secretary at Monique.williams@savannahga.gov to coordinate details.
