City Encourages Residents to Sign Up for RAVE Alert During Hurricane Season

SAVANNAH — As hurricane season continues, the City of Savannah is encouraging residents to sign up for RAVE Alert, the City’s emergency notification system, to receive official notifications before, during and after severe weather and other emergencies.

RAVE Alert provides official emergency notifications by text message, phone call and email, helping residents stay informed when seconds matter. Notifications may include hurricane and severe weather updates, evacuation orders, flash flood and tornado warnings, boil water advisories, hazardous materials incidents, shelter-in-place orders, major road and bridge closures, missing children alerts and other urgent public safety information.

Registration is free and takes less than a minute. Residents can sign up online at savannahga.gov/ravealert or simply text SAVALERTS to 67283 and follow the prompts.

First-time users registering through the website should select “Sign Up Now!” and complete the online registration form. Existing users are encouraged to log in periodically to ensure their contact information remains current, so they receive notifications without interruption.

The Atlantic hurricane season continues through November 30, making now the time to prepare—not when a storm is already approaching. The City encourages all residents to register for RAVE Alert today and remind family members, friends and neighbors to do the same.

For more information or to register, visit savannahga.gov/ravealert or text SAVALERTS to 67283.
