SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Savannah Steel revealed a brand-new mascot before Monday’s 76-58 loss to the Jacksonville Waves.
Their new mascot, Belle walked onto the court Friday to hype up the crowd before pregame introductions.

Friday also marked the Steel players’ first game without head coach Coretta Brown. The team announced Thursday Brown was taking a leave of absence due to a family matter.
Assistant coach Toccara Ross served as interim head coach for Friday’s game.
The Steel have now lost four straight games. They will look to rebound on Sunday, in a rematch with the Waves at Enmarket Arena at 3 p.m.
