Health Watch: Wellness, Research & Healthy Living Tips

Taylor Swift just embraced a bag trend that’s primed for a resurgence in Fall 2025.

Affectionately, the 35-year-old pop star is not known for setting or chasing trends, instead using fashion to tease new musical eras or evoke a sense of girl-next-door relatability. This summer, in particular, Swift seems to have reverted back to classic, feminine silhouettes and approachable styling after dabbling with a bit of logo-mania during the 2024-2025 football season.

That analysis remains true of her most recent New York ensemble, as she leapt ahead of current summer trends with an unexpected bag she pulled from deep within her own closet. During an outing with Travis Kelce on June 28, Swift paired a flouncy white and pink houndstooth Balmain dress and nude Christian Louboutin sandals with a small nude trunk bag. You can see Swift’s most recent look here.

As Swift style expert Sarah Chappell pointed out on Instagram, the pop star previously wore this Aspinal of London trunk bag during an outing in New York City in September 2016:

The nude version of the bag is not currently available on the London brand’s website, though they’re currently selling the style in black and green croc-embossed patent leather for $845, which feel very Reputation-coded and line up perfectly with upcoming fall 2025 trends.

Evergreen Patent Trunk Bag

We’ve already seen a resurgence of mini trunk’s among street style experts and on the runway as part of Louis Vuitton’s fall 2025 collection. I’m especially fond of LV’s slouchier take on their classic trunk purse, as well as this Mark & Graham raffia bag that retails for $99.

By digging out her own version of the trunk bag instead of ringing up LV for a new one, Swift provided more inspiration for those looking to embrace the trend before it truly begins in earnest. One might say she was so ahead of the curve that the curve became a sphere.
