    Savannah, GA-Savannah State Athletics enters another action-packed week as the Tigers continue their respective fall sports schedule. The women’s volleyball squad takes part in the second SIAC Crossover, men’s & women’s cross country crosses the Talmadge Bridge again for another meet at USC Beaufort, and football continues their three-game road trip with their second straight trip to “The Palmetto State”. We cover everything in another installment of “This Week In Tiger Athletics”.

    Women’s Volleyball

    After a memorable and record setting home match against Allen last week, the Lady Tiger volleyball squad looks to make more headway in conference play. Savannah State heads up to Memphis, Tennessee to participate in the second SIAC Crossover, hosted by LeMoyne-Owen College on Friday, October 10th-Saturday, October 11th. SSU will open Crossover play on Friday against Central State at 11:30am and Lane at 4:30pm, then wrap things up on Satutrday against LeMoyne-Owen at 11:30am.

    Men’s & Women’s Cross Country

    The Savannah State Cross Country squads make their second straight trip to USC Beaufort on Saturday, October 11th as they participate in the 18th Annual USC Beaufort Sand Shark Invitational at Sgt. Jasper Park in Hardeeville, South Carolina.

    Football

    The three-game road trip continues this weekend for Savannah State football. After stepping out of conference in their last action, the Orange & Blue return to SIAC play looking to snap their two-game losing streak. The Tigers head to Winnsboro, South Carolina to match up with the Yellow Jackets of Allen University. Kickoff from E. K. McClendon Stadium on the campus of Fairfield Central High School is set for 6:00pm.
