SAVANNAH – If you’ve ever wanted to skate the path of professional hockey players, take a spin at center ice, or just glide leisurely along the rails, lace up those skates Savannah!

Thanks to a new partnership between the City of Savannah, Oak View Group, and Zawyer Sports and Entertainment, public ice-skating sessions are officially gliding into Enmarket Arena on Friday, Nov. 7.

Beginning at 4:30 p.m. six, 45-minute public skating sessions will be available starting on the half hour, each hour, until the final session starts at 9:30 p.m. Limited spots for the sessions are available. Registration is required and is now open at savannahga.gov/LaceUp

Each session is $20 per person for adults and $15 for kids 12 and under. Ghost Pirates Fantom Club Member will receive a discount. No additional skate rental fee is required. Patrons can bring personal skates, but no hockey sticks or pucks are allowed during the sessions. Doors for the sessions will open at 4 p.m. Registered participants should arrive 15-30 minutes prior to their session.

In addition to Nov. 7, Enmarket will open for public skating sessions on Dec. 17, 18, and 22 with more dates to be announced in January.

Working with partners Oak View Group, who manage operations at Enmarket Arena, and Zawyer Sports and Entertainment, who own and manage the Savannah Ghost Pirates, the City of Savannah developed an agreement to provide public use of the ice rink earlier this month.

Under the agreement, the Savannah community will have opportunities to utilize the arena’s ice rink for recreational youth hockey, adult league hockey, and public skating during periods when Ghost Pirates and OVG events are not taking place.

To keep up with the latest information from the Savannah Ghost Pirates and OVG, follow their official social media channels.
